Our familiarization trip through Guanajuato began with an adrenaline rush at San Miguel Adventure Park, where we traveled along zip lines and a suspension bridge, allowing us to admire incredible landscapes and connect with nature. We continued by savoring delicious dishes at the Los Milagros Terraza restaurant. We then visited Clevia San Miguel de Allende, an Autograph Collection hotel that offers comfort and art, where we were shown a new way to relax in San Miguel de Allende. We awakened our senses at Mixtura by HQM, a speakeasy-style bar where you can create drinks with a special touch that you absolutely must experience. We ended our first day with dinner at Florios San Miguel restaurant, recharging our batteries for another day of adventures.
Our second day in Guanajuato took us back to the most authentic roots of this land. We began our day at Xotolar Ranch, enjoying a tour of its landscapes, participating in a traditional cooking workshop, and savoring a country-style breakfast that made us feel right at home. We also had the opportunity to learn about the artisanal cheesemaking process and experience milking cows. Afterward, we headed to Cuna de Tierra, where we toured the facilities and enjoyed a tasting that allowed us to discover the unique flavors of their wines in an environment that blends elegance and nature. Culture was also present with a visit to the José Alfredo Jiménez House Museum, where we relived the history and legacy of the ranchera music icon. We also sampled delicious ice cream in Dolores Hidalgo, a refreshing treat on our trip. We ended the day at the Oajillo restaurant, delighting in dishes that fuse tradition and creativity in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Our third day of the Fam Trip began with a joyful donation to the children and teenagers at the Colibrí Social Assistance Center. Each child received a personalized kit containing school supplies, toiletries, and games. Later, we explored the destination's wide range of tourism offerings through networking with regional tour operators, where our partners were able to strengthen existing partnerships and discover new experiences in Guanajuato. Our day concluded with a thrilling adventure, as we raced through the city on ATVs.
Our last day in Guanajuato began in the historic town of Valenciana, where we marveled at the Baroque architecture of the Temple of San Cayetano, a jewel steeped in centuries of history and devotion. We continued our tour to the iconic Alhóndiga de Granaditas, a witness to key moments in the Mexican War of Independence. We finished our journey by descending into the depths of the Boca Mina San Ramón, reliving the mining legacy that gave life to this city. We also visited its cantina, where each drink offered a unique experience.
This familiarization trip allowed us to connect with the essence of Guanajuato: its history, its culture, and its people.
